Mox Jet in the 30th Anniversary Edition occupies a specific and controversial segment of the Power Nine collector market. The 30th Anniversary Edition was released in 2022 to mark thirty years of Magic, containing non-tournament-legal reprints of iconic cards in a commemorative package, including Reserved List cards that Wizards cannot legally reprint in a tournament context. The black border and near-identical frame created significant collector debate about the legitimacy of the product, but it introduced a lower-cost access point for Power Nine ownership. Mox Jet is the Black mana accelerant of the Power Nine and drives the Swamp-producing element of powered Vintage builds.
