Kokusho, the Evening Star from Champions of Kamigawa is a legendary black Dragon that drains life equal to opponents' life totals combined when it dies, creating one of the most powerful death triggers ever printed on a six-mana creature. The card was banned in Commander at various points and remains a high-priority target for reanimation strategies in Legacy and Commander. Kamigawa was a full-size expansion set, but Near Mint copies of Commander-essential Rares from 2004 are increasingly scarce relative to demand from a much larger current Commander player base.
