Expropriate Price
MARKET NOTE: EXPROPRIATE
Updated 2026-08-23
Expropriate from Conspiracy: Take the Crown is a nine-mana blue sorcery with will of the council that votes for extra turns or permanent theft, with each opponent casting a vote: extra turn gives its caster another turn for each extra-turn vote, and treasure lets the caster take any permanent for each treasure vote. The combination of voting mechanics and the potential for multiple extra turns or mass permanent theft makes Expropriate one of the most debated Commander cards for power-level discussions, remaining legal in official Commander while banned in many casual playgroups. Conspiracy: Take the Crown was a draft-focused supplemental set with limited distribution compared to standard sets, contributing to supply constraints on this mythic. All price windows are flat, consistent with a card at equilibrium with thin market volume. No Reserved List protection exists, but Expropriate's niche as a controversial Commander card has kept it from obvious reprint vehicles, supporting the current price floor.
