Mox Opal Price
MARKET NOTE: MOX OPAL
Updated 2026-07-13
Mox Opal from Double Masters is the Mythic-rarity reprint of a card with a significant competitive history. Mox Opal was banned in Modern in January 2020, where it anchored artifact-heavy Affinity and Urza strategies, but remains legal and played in Legacy and Vintage. The card also sees Commander play in artifact-heavy builds where the Metalcraft condition is easy to satisfy. The Double Masters printing made Mox Opal more accessible than the Scars of Mirrodin original, but the card's continued Legacy demand and Commander appeal keep the floor elevated. The 7-day price movement was modestly negative against a positive 30-day trend, suggesting short-term softness within a broader upward trajectory. Double Masters Mythics without an active tournament ban retain collector and player demand simultaneously, which is a more stable position than cards solely dependent on format legality.
