Murderous Redcap Price

Updated 2026-09-23

Murderous Redcap in its Friday Night Magic promo printing is a Persist creature that deals direct damage equal to its power when it enters the battlefield, and the Persist mechanic returns it from the graveyard with a minus-one counter, enabling damage repetition in the right shell. The card has seen play in Modern and Legacy combo contexts, notably in infinite-damage loops paired with counter-manipulation effects. The FNM promo version is stamped and features the iconic gold foil treatment associated with the program, which adds a premium over the standard Shadowmoor printing for players who prioritize foil promo copies in their decks or collections. FNM promos are not reprinted, making supply fixed to the original event distribution window. The 30-day price line shows a modest upward move, consistent with sustained interest from players running Persist combo strategies in older formats. Demand here is split between competitive play and collector completeness, with the FNM foil treatment narrowing the supply pool relative to regular versions.
