The Locust God Price

Updated 2026-09-20

The Locust God is an Hour of Devastation mythic that generates a 1/1 flying haste Insect token every time its controller draws a card and allows drawing cards equal to the number of Insects sacrificed, creating a self-reinforcing engine between card draw and board presence. This combination of card advantage and token generation made The Locust God one of the most played blue and red Commander generals since its printing. At $27.21, the card has appreciated 2.64% over the past week, 5.22% over the past month, and 17.49% over the past ninety days, a steady climb that accelerates across each successive window. The consistent appreciation reflects genuine Commander format growth expanding the demand base for combo-friendly generals rather than speculative activity. Hour of Devastation singles have benefited from broader Amonkhet nostalgia and limited reprint frequency for non-Masterpiece cards from the block.
