Lightning Greaves is the most-played equipment card in Commander, attaching for free and granting shroud and haste to the equipped creature. The Kaladesh Inventions Masterpiece series featured dramatically reimagined art in a steampunk artifact aesthetic, and Lightning Greaves in this treatment is among the most visually distinctive versions of the card available. Masterpiece cards were inserted into Kaladesh booster packs at extremely low rates, making the supply pool small relative to the enormous Commander demand for the effect. Price movement has been positive over both the 7-day and 30-day windows. The combination of the highest-playability Commander equipment with one of the scarcest premium treatments makes the Kaladesh Inventions Lightning Greaves a structurally sound collector position with clear player demand as its floor. No reprint of the Masterpiece frame version has been announced.
