Mox Opal Price
MARKET NOTE: MOX OPAL
Updated 2026-07-13
Mox Opal from Modern Masters 2015 is one of the major reprintings of the card, produced to address high demand during a period when the Scars of Mirrodin original was the primary accessible version. Modern Masters 2015 was a limited-print supplemental set, and its Mythic rarity cards have held value better than most reprint sets. Mox Opal was banned in Modern in January 2020 but remains a key card in Legacy Affinity and Vintage. The 30-day price movement reflects meaningful appreciation from this printing. Commander demand for artifact-heavy strategies provides an additional floor. This printing uses the original art and carries the collector appeal of a limited-print supplemental reprint. The primary upside thesis is continued Legacy play demand combined with the structural scarcity of a supplemental set Mythic. No reprint outside of a future Masters product or special drop is expected, and neither has been announced at time of writing.
