Sheoldred, Whispering One Price

Updated 2026-08-16

Sheoldred, Whispering One in the original New Phyrexia printing is the card that introduced this Phyrexian praetor to Magic, years before Sheoldred became widely recognized outside the competitive community. New Phyrexia is a set collectors regard as a turning point in Magic's mechanical philosophy, and the praetor cycle from that set carries enduring collector significance. This printing predates the Dominaria United version that achieved widespread Standard visibility, giving it a distinct identity as the original frame. Price has softened modestly over the 30-day window, consistent with ongoing comparison pressure from that more recent and competitively dominant card. Commander remains the primary gameplay home for this version, where reanimator and control strategies prize the enters and leaves triggered abilities. Supply is not expanding in this exact frame. The buyer here is an original-printing collector or a Commander player who specifically wants the New Phyrexia version.
