Insurrection Price
MARKET NOTE: INSURRECTION
Updated 2026-08-06
Insurrection from Onslaught recorded a dramatic 30-day appreciation, one of the sharpest moves among Commander staples in the recent window. The card takes control of all creatures opponents control until end of turn and gives them haste, enabling a lethal swing out of nowhere in Commander pods where opponents have developed large boards. Onslaught is a set from 2002 with a smaller print run than subsequent expansions, and Insurrection has no direct functional replacement among cards printed since. The 30-day spike without any corresponding 7-day continuation suggests the initial catalyst has passed and the market is consolidating at the new level. Before adding at the post-spike price, confirm whether buylist prices have followed the market upward, as a mismatch between retail and buylist is a signal that dealer conviction does not support the new level. Watch realized comps closely before committing to the current price as a floor.
