Borrowing the East Wind from Portal Three Kingdoms is a vintage Magic rare from one of the most collectible and regionally scarce sets in the game's history. Portal Three Kingdoms was released only in Asian markets in 1999, primarily in Japan, Taiwan, and China, and was never distributed in North America or Europe through normal retail channels. The set was based on the classic Chinese literary work Romance of the Three Kingdoms, giving it cultural significance beyond the Magic player base. This extreme regional limitation created a supply that is exceptionally thin by any Magic set standard. The card itself is a powerful combat spell, but collector demand vastly outweighs any play-driven demand.
