Witherbloom, the Balancer Price

Updated 2026-10-04

Witherbloom, the Balancer in Promo Pack: Secrets of Strixhaven is a Mythic dragon printed in a limited promotional distribution channel rather than standard booster packs. Promo Pack Mythics occupy a specific tier: they have restricted supply but also restricted audience, as the promo stamp creates a niche product that not all players seek. The 90-day price decline is material, with the 30-day window accelerating that pressure, which is consistent with post-hype cooling for a promo Mythic that is not a competitive staple. Witherbloom functions in graveyard-recursion Commander builds but has not established a dominant position in any format. The price floor is partially supported by the Strixhaven collector base and players building around the specific dragon. Supply of near-mint promo copies is limited but demand is similarly constrained. Further softening is possible unless a new Commander archetype emerges that makes this dragon the preferred build-around choice.
