Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God (Borderless) Price

Updated 2026-10-11

Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God in its borderless Secret Lair treatment is the most sought-after version of one of Magic's iconic elder dragons, presented in a full-art frame that strips away the standard card borders entirely. The Secret Lair borderless treatment creates a small, defined supply: each run is limited-edition and not restocked, giving this version a permanent ceiling on mintable quantity. Nicol Bolas is a franchise villain with decades of narrative history across Magic's sets, and the borderless version commands a premium over standard printings from players who want the most visually distinctive copy for their Commander decks or display collections. Price data shows a sharp recent gain that follows a period of softness, with the 7-day move accounting for the bulk of the 30-day appreciation. This is a volatile name: the supply is thin enough that individual transactions can move the market. Settled realized prices after the current activity resolves are the more reliable valuation anchor.
