Culling the Weak (JP Alternate Art) (Silver Scroll Foil) Price

Updated 2026-08-21

Culling the Weak is a one-mana black instant from Urza's Saga that sacrifices a creature to add four black mana, a ritual effect with applications in storm and fast combo builds across Legacy and Vintage. The Japanese Alternate Art Silver Scroll Foil from Strixhaven Mystical Archive is among the most visually distinctive versions available, but that presentation has not protected it from consistent price deterioration. At $54.83, the card is down 6.64% over seven days, 17.04% over thirty, and 42.60% over ninety. That accelerating decline across all windows points to ongoing supply overhang from the Mystical Archive printing working through the secondary market without sufficient demand to absorb it. The alternate art premium has compressed meaningfully over the quarter. Buyers should wait for sell-side pressure to exhaust before entering; no clear floor has been established at current levels. Sellers holding inventory should evaluate their basis carefully before the next leg down.
