Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God Price

Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God headlined War of the Spark as the set's narrative centerpiece, a five-mana planeswalker who appropriates the loyalty abilities of every other planeswalker in play and threatens progressive field control through Amass tokens and exile effects. The card carries immediate Commander appeal as both a commander and a midrange threat in black-blue-red shells. The War of the Spark printing remains the definitive version for players who want the original art and treatment without hunting through the various promotional and specialty releases. Demand here is driven partly by Commander accessibility and partly by collectors who track first-print editions. Price data registers an identical gain across all three tracking windows, placing the appreciation within the most recent 7-day window. Sustained competitive demand in Commander formats tends to insulate this type of flagship mythic against sharp reversion, though thin trading volume on any single printing can amplify short-term moves.
