Karplusan Forest in 7th Edition commands serious collector attention at this price point. The 7th Edition foil printing is one of the earliest foil treatments ever applied to a pain land in Magic, and original-era foil cards suffer from unique aging characteristics that push near-mint copies into genuine scarcity. The red-green pain land was a format staple through early competitive play and retained relevance in Commander. White-bordered foils from this era are not to everyone's taste, but collectors targeting complete foil sets or specific early-foil milestones treat condition-graded copies as long-hold assets. Supply of near-mint or better copies is extremely limited: 7th Edition foils that survived without significant curling or water damage are rarely surfaced at auction.
