Ashnod's Coupon Price

Updated 2026-09-29

Ashnod's Coupon is one of the most unusual cards distributed under the Magic: The Gathering name. Originally a promotional card that entitled the holder to a free beverage from their opponent, it has no game text that functions in any regular format and exists purely as a novelty and collector artifact. The Arena Promo version carries the prestige of a specifically stamped release of a card that was already rare in its original form. The 90-day gain of over 100 percent against a flat 30-day figure tells a clean story: a sharp spike occurred earlier in the window and has fully consolidated at the new level. Novelty and joke promos can spike when a new wave of collectors discovers them, and that spike tends to be durable because supply is genuinely finite and no functional reprint is possible. The flat 30-day reading confirms the new price level has stabilized. The current price reflects both the collectibility of the card itself and the specific premium for the Arena Promo treatment over earlier printings.
