Serra Ascendant Price
MARKET NOTE: SERRA ASCENDANT
Updated 2026-08-14
Serra Ascendant from Magic 2011 has pulled back modestly across both measured windows, a minor correction for a Commander staple that has seen meaningful reprint pressure in recent years. The card is a one-mana 1/1 that becomes a 6/6 flying lifelinker at forty or more life, a condition easily met in Commander's 40-life format, making it a disproportionately powerful early play. Multiple printings across Commander precons and supplemental sets have expanded supply and compressed the premium on individual versions. The minor decline is consistent with a card where supply has outpaced demand growth. Commander demand is real and persistent, but the M11 version no longer commands a significant frame premium over alternatives. The utility floor is supported by widespread format play across mono-white and lifegain Commander builds.
