The Meathook Massacre Price

Updated 2026-09-23

The Meathook Massacre in its Promo Pack version from Innistrad: Midnight Hunt is one of the most powerful enchantments from a recent Standard era, providing a flexible sweeper that scales with mana investment and attaches a life-drain payoff for every creature death while it is in play. The card was the subject of a Standard ban, which removed it from that format but confirmed its power ceiling for other formats. The Promo Pack version carries the distinctive stamp and alternate frame treatment limited to in-store play event distribution, restricting supply to original floor attendance windows. Promo pack singles are never opened from booster product directly. The 30-day price line shows a modest downward move with the 90-day trajectory confirming a gradual decline from earlier highs. The ban's initial shock has settled, and price direction now reflects the card finding its floor in commander and casual formats. Watch for any format unbanning as a potential price catalyst.
