Asceticism Price

Updated 2026-09-07

Asceticism from Scars of Mirrodin has shown meaningful appreciation over the past 30 days, consistent with growing Commander interest in this defensive green enchantment. Asceticism gives all your creatures hexproof and allows regeneration for a mana investment each time one would be destroyed, creating a formidable defensive layer in creature-heavy green Commander decks. The card's ability to protect an entire board state from targeted removal makes it disproportionately powerful in multiplayer formats where opponents devote resources to individual creature removal. Scars of Mirrodin is a well-regarded set from 2010 with an artifact theme that many Commander players remember fondly. The card has been reprinted but not saturated, keeping original Scars copies competitive with later printings. The 30-day move suggests content discovery or Commander metagame shifts toward more targeted removal are driving interest. Supply from the original Scars run has thinned over fifteen years of circulation.
