Talisman of Creativity (Retro Frame) (Foil Etched) Price

Updated 2026-08-27

Talisman of Creativity is a widely played two-mana rock in Izzet Commander decks, offering color fixing and acceleration for a minor life cost. The Retro Frame Foil Etched version from Secret Lair is a premium treatment that combines the classic artifact frame with a distinctive foil finish. Price movement is modestly negative across the 30-day and 90-day windows, suggesting steady erosion rather than a sharp repricing event. Talismans as a group face consistent reprint pressure because Wizards regularly includes them in supplemental products, which limits the ceiling for any specific premium version. The Retro Frame Foil Etched version has collector appeal from the treatment specificity, but it competes with multiple other versions of Talisman of Creativity in the secondary market. Commander players who want the function can find it cheaply; the premium here serves collectors who want the specific aesthetic. That is a narrow buyer pool with limited growth potential.
