Island (C) from Summer Magic is among the rarest basic lands in Magic: The Gathering's history, originating from a print run that was recalled and largely destroyed by Wizards of the Coast shortly after production in 1994. Summer Magic, informally named for the season of its ill-fated release, was intended as a corrected revision of the Revised Edition with updated card frames and fixed errata, but printing errors affecting card colors and costs prompted a near-total recall before the set reached wide distribution.
