MARKET NOTE: LIBRARY OF LENG
Updated 2026-10-09
Library of Leng from Summer Magic is one of the rarest cards in the entire history of Magic: The Gathering. Summer Magic (also known as Edgar) was a short-lived print run from 1994 that was recalled almost immediately due to color printing errors, resulting in an extraordinarily small number of cards reaching circulation. Even Uncommon slots in Summer Magic command prices that dwarf Rare and Mythic cards from modern sets, because the total surviving card count is so low. Condition is paramount here: Summer Magic cards have a distinctive print quality and any significant damage substantially compresses value relative to clean copies. Unlike Reserved List cards, Summer Magic cards are not protected from reprinting by policy, but the historical and collector significance of the set creates a natural floor independent of any print policy. This is a museum-quality artifact card tracked by serious vintage collectors.
