Plains (A) Price
MARKET NOTE: PLAINS (A)
Updated 2026-09-18
Plains from Summer Magic is one of the rarest basic lands ever produced in the history of collectible card games. Summer Magic, sometimes called Edgar, was a corrected printing of Revised Edition that Wizards pulled and destroyed almost entirely before distribution, meaning only a handful of cases escaped into the market. The Plains carries the distinctive Summer Magic color palette, with more vibrant blues and greens than equivalent Revised prints, and carries a copyright date that distinguishes it from other contemporary lands. Even basic lands from this print run command serious collector premiums because of their extreme scarcity. There is no Reserved List protection for basic lands, but that is irrelevant: Summer Magic's supply is capped by historical accident, not legal agreement. Authentication is critical given the premium this print attracts relative to its Revised counterpart.
