Altar of the Brood Price

Updated 2026-09-18

Altar of the Brood from Ugin's Fate Promos is an alternate frame promotional printing of a Khans of Tarkir artifact that mills one card from each opponent each time a permanent enters the battlefield, a symmetrical mill engine with exponential power in Commander. The Ugin's Fate promo series was a limited promotional release tied to the Khans of Tarkir window, making this version significantly rarer than the main set copy. The card has shown consistent price decline across both the 30-day and 90-day windows, suggesting a gradual reduction in collector demand for this specific promotional version. Commander players who want Altar of the Brood for its mill effect have multiple lower-cost alternatives from standard set printings. The promotional scarcity creates a floor, but whether that floor has been reached depends on how much Commander enthusiasm for mill strategies continues to evolve.
