Paralyze Price
MARKET NOTE: PARALYZE
Updated 2026-08-07
Paralyze from Summer Magic occupies a category that has almost no comparison elsewhere in the trading-card world: a Common from one of the most error-prone and quickly recalled print runs in Magic: The Gathering history. Summer Magic was printed in 1994 to correct errors from the Revised Edition and was almost entirely destroyed before reaching retailers, leaving a surviving population so small that even bulk Commons command serious prices. The brown-bordered aesthetic, unique to this print run, is unmistakable to vintage collectors. Paralyze itself is a simple enchantment with no competitive significance, which means demand here is entirely collector-driven and tied to the Summer Magic pedigree rather than playability. Copies in any condition are scarce, and Near Mint copies are genuinely rare. This is a historical artifact of the early Magic printing era, priced on rarity and provenance, not gameplay utility.
