Raise Dead Price
MARKET NOTE: RAISE DEAD
Updated 2026-09-11
Raise Dead from Summer Magic is a set-rarity paradox: a common card commanding collector prices well above most rare cards from modern sets. Summer Magic is the informal name for the Edgar print run, a corrected version of Revised that Wizards halted and recalled mid-production in the summer of 1994 after discovering widespread errors. The recalled nature of the set means total copies in circulation are a fraction of any intentionally released set, including Beta. Virtually every Summer Magic card commands a premium over its counterpart from Revised or later editions, regardless of the card's functional power level. Raise Dead has no competitive relevance in Legacy or Vintage, yet it trades as a genuine collectible purely on the strength of its Summer Magic pedigree. Supply in clean condition is extremely thin. This is a pure collector play for Magic historians and vintage set completionists.
