Shatter Price
MARKET NOTE: SHATTER
Updated 2026-07-09
Shatter Summer Magic is a copy of one of Magic: The Gathering's most basic artifact removal spells from the ultra-rare Summer Magic print run, a 1994 corrected test printing that was recalled and destroyed before public distribution. The vast majority of the Summer Magic print run was never released, making every surviving card from the series genuinely rare regardless of its game function. Shatter itself destroys a single artifact for two mana, a standard effect that carries no particular competitive premium in modern formats. Its value is entirely a product of Summer Magic provenance rather than gameplay relevance. Its price has held flat with no directional movement in recent windows, consistent with a market where Summer Magic cards trade among dedicated vintage collectors rather than active players, with transaction frequency typically measured in months rather than weeks.
