The Gitrog Monster Price

Updated 2026-10-03

The Gitrog Monster in the Judge Promos printing has staged a substantial climb over both the one-month and three-month windows, appreciation that reflects the card's growing reputation as one of the most powerful single-card Commander engines in the format. Judge Promos receive a distinctive foil treatment and are distributed exclusively through the Judge Program, a volunteer certification system for tournament officiants, which permanently caps supply at program participation levels. The Gitrog Monster generates an extra land drop each turn, draws a card when a land enters the graveyard, and survives forced sacrifice by pitching a land, creating a self-sustaining value loop that Commander players have built elaborate combo decks around. The combination of Judge Promo scarcity and strengthening Commander demand is compelling. Watch for any reprints in premium supplemental products as the primary near-term risk to the price trajectory.
